King Jesus is coming to reign in our midst! I have seen visions of Him on His throne in the middle of the sanctuary while we worship. Recently I have seen an explosion of His fire and glory resting upon us several times. No longer will the Holy Spirit influence our meetings, but the King is coming to take over and build His church the way He wants it; both in our personal lives and in the unity of believers in our local fellowship.

May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man... May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts!

May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! (Eph. 3:16-19 AMP).

He desires for us to experience His fullness! We can be genuinely born again and know Christ within as an influence, "Christ for us," but NOT know Him as our Resurrection and entire Life.

I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:24).

Human beings are created to be containers of God: Him filling us, motivating us, and loving through us.

At the Fall, a false god, the devil, stole us and the spirit of sin became the inner animating force of all mankind. We were "sold under sin" (Rom. 7:14).

  • We are vessels of the one who fills us
  • We are slaves of the one we obey

We have no independent life of our own

  • We cannot have two natures.
  •  We cannot have two “selves.”
  • We merely express spirit in us.

Why do so many Christians struggle with what appears to be two natures, sometimes called the "good dog and the bad dog" dilemma?

  • They have not fully understood that the "bad dog" or old man was crucified with Christ and raised when He was raised.

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others (Eph. 2:1-3).

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life(Rom. 6:4).

Not only Jesus but all humanity died on the cross. All humanity was raised when He was resurrected by the power of the Father. The price for redemption was complete. His blood was shed for forgiveness of sins. The old self in union with the devil nature of sin was crucified on the Cross.

If One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again(2 Cor. 5:14).

Why are all not saved? Only those who believe are saved.

Why aren't all believers living as new creations with a new Self Life in them? Only those who believe are able to appropriate the freedom of union with Christ.

Jesus didn't die for us just to assist us but to REPLACE us!

  • It is not Jesus helping our old self (old man) to live!
  • He replaces sinful, independent self with Himself.
  • HE is the new man! "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal. 2:20).

Our belief that what the Bible says is true must, however, become a real experience, not just mental acceptance.

Do you desire that Jesus become your Life? Do you want to experience your true Self, fully fused together with the Risen Lord?

Do you want the Risen Lord to replace the usurper on the throne of your life?

  • Close your eyes, open the door of your heart, and welcome Him to take His place and fully become your Life!

Believing the truth is our part. Making it a genuine experience is Father God's part. We simply receive the truth and hold our heart open by faith until the truth becomes reality for us.

In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses (Col. 2:11-13).

When you ask God to make it reality in your life, you know that you are asking according to God's will for you. "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us" (1 John 5:14).

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them (Mark 11:24).

  • Believing is our part.
  • Forming the Risen Christ in us is Father God's part.
  • Faith is our assurance that what God has said He will surely do!
  • Through faith and patience we inherit the promises (Heb. 6:12).
