When Jesus was on earth He was the perfect expression of His Father.

·      ♦  Jesus came as the Captain, or author, of our salvation to bring “many sons to glory” (Heb. 2:10).

·      ♦  We were created in the image of God to be expressions of the Father just as Jesus was.

·      ♦  We already have the kingdom within.

·      ♦  However, most believers haven’t appropriated our full inheritance.

·      ♦  Few live in the glory as a witness of God in the world.

Three levels of the Cross are available as our inheritance:

1.      Forgiven Life (sins forgiven)

2.      Replaced Life (new Spirit)

3.      Enthroned Life (greater works & glory)

We were created in God’s image to be containers of His Spirit and walk as Jesus walked.

·       ♦  We are vessels, servants, branches, temples with no independent life of our own

·       ♦  Unlike animals which only have biological life, we must have a spirit in us to live

The body without the spirit is dead (James 2:26).

·        ♦  We were created to be vessels, or containers, of a spirit.

Adam and Eve chose theTree of the Knowledge instead of the Tree of Life and their spirit was corrupted by sin

·       ♦  Anything done with the the wrong tree, or wrong spirit, as its source is not good.

·       ♦  Only God is good.

·       ♦  Only that which comes from God’s Spirit can be truly good.

·       ♦  Adam chose the wrong spirit and passed it down to his offspring.

·       ♦  We inherited a sin nature, or spirit, from Adam.

♦ We sin because we are sinners by nature

The whole WORLD lies under the sway of the wicked one (1 John 5:19).

You [Christ] made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the SPIRIT who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh…and were BY NATURE children of wrath (Eph. 2:1-3).

[To the Pharisees] You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do (John 8:44).

Spirit of disobedience

Spirit of obedience

Spirit of error

Spirit of  truth

Spirit of sin

Spirit of  holiness

Spirit of death

Spirit of Life

Two-Fold Redemption of the Cross

In Adam, we inherited two problems: sins committed AND a wrong spirit filling us. We commit sins because we were born sinners.

1.      BLOOD: We receive forgiveness of sins committed through Jesus’ shed blood.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Eph. 1:7).

2.      CROSS: Our second dilemma is the presence of a wrong spirit in us—a sin nature

o   GOD’S PROMISE: “I will give you a new heart and put a NEW SPIRIT within you” (Eze. 36:26).

We need a new spirit!

·        ♦ It took the death of the Cross to give us a new spirit.

·        ♦  When Jesus died on the Cross, He took all humanity with Him (see Rom. 6:10).

We were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of LIFE. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,  knowing this, that our OLD MAN was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of SIN (Rom 6:4-6).

I have been crucified with Christ (Gal. 2:20b).

·        ♦  When Jesus was raised from the dead, we were raised together with Him.            .

It it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me (Gal. 2:20b).

We receive a complete deliverance at salvation, however…

·        ♦ Very few people appropriate FULL salvation at the time of INITIAL salvation.

·        ♦ For most of us, it takes time to discover all that Christ has provided for us.

ROMANS 6 reveals the FACT of our deliverance

[Jesus] died to sin once for ALL; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, RECKON yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts (Rom 6:10-12).

·   ♦  But we say within ourselves, “I say that, but it isn’t working well in me”!

·   ♦  “RECKON” means I say so and suppose so, but that’s different from the experience of freedom.

ROMANS 7 reveals the futility of trying to live the Christian life by self-effort.

·        ♦ When we try to live the Christian life by SELF- EFFORT we find we can’t.

·        ♦ The problem is trying to be Christ-like with a SIN SPIRIT in our vessel.

So I find this LAW at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; But I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members (Rom. 7:21-24).

·        ♦ Paul discovered that indwelling sin was alive and active in him and but the indwelling Christ sets him free.

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Rom.7:24-25).

DELIVERANCE comes from seeing what Jesus has already provided!

There is now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the LAW of the Spirit of life set me free from the LAW of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2).

1.      Recognize satan’s deception of  a sin spirit still living in you.  (When Christ died you died to the sin spirit.)

2.      Believe the truth that Christ’s Spirit lives in you.

3.      Trust God to make it living reality for you.

REPENT. Before I ask You to fill me with Christ’s Spirit, Lord, I repent of all known sin. (In an attitude of prayer, Let God search your heart.)

PRAY. I have been living a lie. I have been trying to live the Christian life with a wrong spirit dwelling in me. I can’t live the Christian life by self-effort. Only Jesus in me can live the Christian life. I give up. I’m tired of trying to live the Christian life by my own efforts. I need a new Spirit. I ask you, Jesus, to REPLACE the wrong spirit in me. I receive the deliverance already provided for me and welcome Christ’s Spirit to fill me now. Amen.

October 30, 2016 the worship service at church, I saw a vision of awakening in America.  As I was lifted up to look down on the nation, I saw Jesus Himself taking up a huge paintbrush. In broad swaths, He boldly painted an American flag across the land from sea to sea, completely covering our great country in the red, white, and blue of the flag. He then said, "The red represents the forgiveness of sins so mercy can triumph over judgement."

"I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you, O America; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy" (Exod. 33:19).

"The white stands for cleansing and holiness because I will visit My church in America with a revival of holiness. When this happens, the great Awakening will begin and the heart of America will turn back to Me."

The blue stands for revelation of Jesus and the Father. "Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you" (John 14:19-20).

I then saw Him scatter bright stars across the nation and they burst into flames of revival fire that covered the entire land. "I will reveal Myself and America shall weep in the presence of My glory. My Father will establish His throne here and make America Our dwelling place. Then you shall know the power of the greater works and My prayer for unity will be answered!"

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne (Revelation 3:21).

"Once again, America shall truly be the United States of America and One Nation under God. I will wipe away the division in one stroke and unite this great land to reap a harvest of souls that will be the greatest harvest ever seen or imagined!"

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.  Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.... At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him....If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him (John 14:10-12, 20-21, 23).

King Jesus is coming to reign in our midst! I have seen visions of Him on His throne in the middle of the sanctuary while we worship. Recently I have seen an explosion of His fire and glory resting upon us several times. No longer will the Holy Spirit influence our meetings, but the King is coming to take over and build His church the way He wants it; both in our personal lives and in the unity of believers in our local fellowship.

May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man... May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts!

May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! (Eph. 3:16-19 AMP).

He desires for us to experience His fullness! We can be genuinely born again and know Christ within as an influence, "Christ for us," but NOT know Him as our Resurrection and entire Life.

I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:24).

Human beings are created to be containers of God: Him filling us, motivating us, and loving through us.

At the Fall, a false god, the devil, stole us and the spirit of sin became the inner animating force of all mankind. We were "sold under sin" (Rom. 7:14).

  • We are vessels of the one who fills us
  • We are slaves of the one we obey

We have no independent life of our own

  • We cannot have two natures.
  •  We cannot have two “selves.”
  • We merely express spirit in us.

Why do so many Christians struggle with what appears to be two natures, sometimes called the "good dog and the bad dog" dilemma?

  • They have not fully understood that the "bad dog" or old man was crucified with Christ and raised when He was raised.

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others (Eph. 2:1-3).

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life(Rom. 6:4).

Not only Jesus but all humanity died on the cross. All humanity was raised when He was resurrected by the power of the Father. The price for redemption was complete. His blood was shed for forgiveness of sins. The old self in union with the devil nature of sin was crucified on the Cross.

If One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again(2 Cor. 5:14).

Why are all not saved? Only those who believe are saved.

Why aren't all believers living as new creations with a new Self Life in them? Only those who believe are able to appropriate the freedom of union with Christ.

Jesus didn't die for us just to assist us but to REPLACE us!

  • It is not Jesus helping our old self (old man) to live!
  • He replaces sinful, independent self with Himself.
  • HE is the new man! "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal. 2:20).

Our belief that what the Bible says is true must, however, become a real experience, not just mental acceptance.

Do you desire that Jesus become your Life? Do you want to experience your true Self, fully fused together with the Risen Lord?

Do you want the Risen Lord to replace the usurper on the throne of your life?

  • Close your eyes, open the door of your heart, and welcome Him to take His place and fully become your Life!

Believing the truth is our part. Making it a genuine experience is Father God's part. We simply receive the truth and hold our heart open by faith until the truth becomes reality for us.

In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses (Col. 2:11-13).

When you ask God to make it reality in your life, you know that you are asking according to God's will for you. "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us" (1 John 5:14).

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them (Mark 11:24).

  • Believing is our part.
  • Forming the Risen Christ in us is Father God's part.
  • Faith is our assurance that what God has said He will surely do!
  • Through faith and patience we inherit the promises (Heb. 6:12).

During the Sunday service yesterday, I saw a huge Bible flip open to the the Song of Solomon and instantly the whole congregation of Kingdom Life Church was transported into it as a living experience. It felt so real that I was amazed with the sights and sounds. Everyone was dressed in white and flourishing green vines and leaves draped the arched trellis through which we passed. We entered as part of a rejoicing company of Shulamites in a romance with our bridegroom king. It was as real as if the Bible opened to the Gospel of John and suddenly we traveled back in time and were thrust into the very midst of the events of that day with Jesus and the disciples-walking the streets, living with all the people, being there to live every experience just like the people of that day. The Lord is clearly preparing us to experience spiritual reality in a brand new way!

He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love. Sustain me with cakes of raisins, Refresh me with apples, For I am lovesick (S of S 2:4-5).

Return, return, O Shulamite; Return, return, that we may look upon you! What would you see in the Shulamite—As it were, the dance of the two camps? (S of S 6:13).

During the service this morning, I saw a wide, sparkling river flowing as I stood on the bank beside it. Suddenly I was not longer standing but found myself completely submerged in the water. I knew it wasn't just for me personally but for Kingdom Life Church. When I turned and walked into the sanctuary, a video of waves on the shore was playing. A shift has occurred and the Lord is taking us into the depths.

We are also in a new season of triumphant warfare and intercession is taking on a new militancy. The army of the Lord is arising like Ezekiel's vision of the valley of dry bones. It begins now!

(Job 11:7 MSG) God is far higher than you can imagine, far deeper than you can comprehend, Stretching farther than earth’s horizons, far wider than the endless ocean.

In my prayer time this morning, I suddenly felt a shift in the spirit. There was a profound change and I felt I was being drawn into greater depths in God, deeper than anything I've experienced before. God is calling us into a new place in Him, a new positioning in prayer, a deep intimacy. God is shifting us out of where we've been before and drawing us to Himself like a powerful magnetic pull.

(Eph 3:14-19 MSG) My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit—not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength—that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! ...
