All Believers Participate

We encourage congregational participation in worship as we gather together and "make space for God."

(1 Corinthians 14:26, 31) Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation.. . . For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.

In Ephesians 5:18-21, Paul encourages the believers to all sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, submitting to one another in reverence to the Lord.

(Ephesians 5:18-21) . . . be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.

Jesus Himself proclaims in Hebrews 2:10-12 that He will sing praises to Father God in and through the assembly of believers.

(Hebrews 2:10-12) For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying: " I [Jesus] will declare Your name [Father God] to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You [emphasis mine]."
